Summer Bounty

All summer we have wanted to take a trip to Larriland Farms to pick peaches and blueberries. We finally made the trip! And boy did we pick!!! We came home with tons of peaches and more than enough blueberries. I wanted to keep picking the little buggers but Austin was getting a bit testy and he kept stealing them out of my bucket decreasing my supply. After we got back from the farm our kitchen looked like the set of Martha Stewart for about a week. I JUST finished off the last of the peaches this past weekend and have been waiting until all my cooking was complete before posting all that I made. Here is the final list of all that we got from our trip to the farm and for a grand total of $33 dollars (the peaches came to $30 and the blueberries were $3).
Blueberry Sour Cream Muffins (2 batches)
Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes (2 batches)
Peach & Blueberry Cobbler (2 9x13 dishes)
Southern Peach Pound Cake (made 1 cake and 24 muffins from a double batch)
Peach Ice Cream
We are just about peached out but there is still one cobbler, 22 muffins and 1/2 a tub of ice cream in the freezer. Oh well, it was certainly worth it. YUMMY!
Have you visited a local farm lately? What are you waiting for???
Happy picking!
