OH SCRAPPY DAY!

So....I'm back on track. I have officially completed my very first week of Project Life! Yay!!! That will be my next post, so hold tight! For now, I just wanted to share a few layouts that I completed over the holiday break.

MY BOY - Austin on four separate occasions, all captured on Instagram. Austin jumping in a puddle, how he organized his cars in little bags, a shopping cart walk through the leaves, and sitting on the potty while talking on the phone. I made the banner by punching circles and then folding them over twine. I glued then down and then stitched along the top to secure.

FIRST DAY - Austin's first day of pre-school. I made him a little sign with the date to hold up. Glad I remembered to do that! Washi tape is my recent favorite. Both blue strips here are tape I picked up in the office section of Target.

BEST BUDS - Austin and Hayden giggling at the playground the week before he moved to Connecticut. The white lined journaling card at the bottom as well as the cream tag, are both from the office supply store. You would be surprised what fun things you can find there. Often for much cheaper than expected.

NEW SHOES - These New Balances had a good story. Had to get a layout out of it. I snapped these pictures the afternoon after we bought the new shoes.

I LOVE my new stamps sets from Close to my Heart. My pal Amy knows just what a girl needs for her birthday :)

BEST BUDDIES - Austin and Hannah enjoying a super warm November day. They are so cute together and so much alike. Both loud, wild, and full of non-stop energy. Perfect for each other! All three stamps shown are also from Close to my Heart.

SIMPLE JOYS - I scored this table at the Wee Sale for $12. I was so excited about it. I think it kinda is a sign of childhood. Doesn't every kid have a Little Tykes picnic table? I love that Austin and Paige are just relaxing, enjoying a snack, and having a conversation....well almost. These letters are punch out so I lined them up and ran them through my sewing machine. I also added a line of stitching on the bottom across the strips of paper. You can't tell from here, but the pic is risen up on foam squares.

OCMD2012 - So this has become my summer obsession. I make us all squeeze into the photo booth on the boardwalk for some silly pictures. Apparently the "new" booths have a smaller picture window, so we had to do two strips to get a few glimpses of both kids. Again, I stitched over the letter stickers. The little horse sticker is from Hanna Anderson. I save almost everything.

TOGETHER - A wedding. Our friends got married on the Eastern Shore, on the water. It was a beautiful day and an awesome ceremony. Jay performed the wedding. It is always fun to watch him marry friends. And nice to be out together. Alone. In daylight. The date stamp is Dear Lizzy. The flower, brads, words, and together tag are all My Minds Eye.

YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND - Oh Maci girl. Watching Maci for 2 years gave me many silly photos of these three. These were my favorites from 2012. Four Instagrams, in a grid. I journaled around the perimeter and wrote each month in white gel pen over each picture.

PICK - Raspberry picking turned into raspberry eating. Paige wouldn't stop. She loved them. Even now she will eat a whole pint in about 10 minutes. The butterflies and quote bubble are stamped, cut out, and up on foam squares. The small butterfly centers are Studio Calico stickers. Stamps are Close to my Heart.

PAIGE - I love this picture. This fall at the downtown playground. With doggie, of course. I love the ruffle sweater and the skinny jeans. Makes me smile. I just wanted to show how I used a hod podge of letters. Since I only had one small picture, I had room to play. I had this large P and then used a clear A followed by all shades of teal chipboard letters.

I hope you enjoyed a peak into my 2012 scrapbook. Thanks for stopping by!

- Awbree
