Remember me?

I'm back.

I actually can't believe it's been over a month! WOW! I knew it had been a while, but that's bad. It's been a bit of a whirlwind around here. Here's a little rundown of the past month for us:

May 26th - THE BIG MOVE

We moved out of the house we had lived in for 7 1/2 years.

Jay drove off in the truck with our whole life packed in it and the kids and I were off to stay with friends. God bless my awesome friends who welcomed me and my crazy, loud children.

May 26th to May 27th - at The Smith Residence

May 27th to June 1st - The kids and I descended upon the Formans. Bless them.

Jay flew back in Friday night, the 31st, and stayed at the Formans with us. Then early Saturday morning we drove off towards North Carolina.

June 1st to June 8th - a week of vacations with Jay's family in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina.

June 8th - My wonderful mother in law drives from NC back up to MD with me since Jay had to fly back to MA early from vacation to get back to work. SOOOO....the MIL, the kids, and I once again landed at the Formans. Jay flies back down to tie up some loose ends at the house before the renters arrive. We enjoy a last weekend with our best of friends.

June 10th - Jay and I load up the car, wake up the kids, and load them up. We stand in the doorway of our now home away from home and hug and say I love you to our dear friends. There are tears. There are many, many tears. Thankfully it was still dark, not even 5 am yet, so our faces are somewhat hidden. But is known. It was goodbye. The end of our life there. A sad farewell.

And now we are here. In Mass, in our new "home". I call it that, but it isn't really. Not yet. It won't be for a long while I'm sure.

Lately Paige has been telling me she wants to go home. I say, "We are home." But I know what she means. I know how she is feeling. I want to go home too baby girl. I do too.

But we are doing good. Staying busy, keeping cool, and exploring this new place of ours.

I'll be back soon with a little house tour and some projects we've been doing.

Now if you will excuse me, I must go pack. Again. We leave for our annual Caton Family Vacation tomorrow. A night in the big city to see the Red Sox, a romp through the splash fountains, and a visit to the Boston Children's Museum. Then it's straight to the Cape for a week. A week of family time, of down time, of playing and laughing, and loving. So needed.

Here's a few pictures of how we have been spending our summer so far. I hope you have too.
