It's a good thing we like snow.

Please excuse my absence. With the move and the holidays it was a bit crazy! I finally feel like I am finding my feet again, getting back into a routine, and starting some projects that are way past over-due.

Let's begin with the weather. That's what everyone is talking about right? The weather has been CRAZY. It seems like everyone across the country is having wacky weather. I noticed on Instagram that it was colder in Newton, Kansas than in Anchorage, Alaska. That just isn't right. And of course this winter has to be particularly rough since we are now official residents of Massachusetts. What an un-warm welcome New England…thanks.

So, I guess it's a good thing we don't mind snow. A little break in between storms would be nice, but I do like snow. I mean, if I am going to be freezing my buns off, at least give me something pretty to look at and something fun to play in. We have had A TON of snow. My kids have never seen this much snow. EVER. And I'm pretty sure the last time I saw this much snow was the last time I went skiing which I am very sad to report was 6 years ago. Pathetic. Darn kids. We are making the best of it. We have three shovels, one at each door. The kids and I each have two pairs of boots. We are learning.

We walked to the library twice this week. I was so proud of the kids. They both walked the entire way there and back yesterday…in the snow. It's been ok…the snow I mean. But if you don't mind I think I'll start counting down until summer. I'll take piles of sand over piles of snow any day.

PS - Notice how high the snow is beside the side walk. Yup. It's almost as high as Paige.
