Project Life 2014 // weeks 37-40

Project Life 2014 // weeks 37-40

left side - 12x12 layout (I did this because I had a 12x12 piece of artwork on the reverse side, right side - design A

I used a midnight card and a 3x4 white card and lined up my photos to create a grid to mimic the right side. I used a Project Life pen to write on my photo. I do this alot and the PL pens are great. No smearing and they dry very fast.

All the cards seen here are from the Studio Calico PL kit.

I've been ordering more blank and white photos and I LOVE THEM. I don't know why it took me nearly two years to embrace B & W.

both sides are design A

The top right card is a Studio Calico card, the others are just white index cards. Whenever I put in artwork from the kids, I adhere a small letter sticker to indicate who made it.

School picture day. I refused to pay $50 for pictures that were blah, so I dressed the kids up and snapped some pics at school before drop off. I then did a little recap of some of their favorite things "right now". I used 3x4 white cards for that and added their monograms to the top with chipboard letters. The top left photo, I cut a heart from a Midnight card and adhered it right to my photo.

left side - design A, right side - design P

Top right, I adhered a set of photo both pictures to a white 4x6 index card. Cards used are Midnight & 3x4 grid cards.

I love this size protector (9 4x4 spaces) when I have a lot of pictures. I find I use design P often in the summer months, when I don't embellish oh my photos as much and I tend to want to fit many on one page. Works well for that. These were all 4x6 photos that I cut down, but this size works great for IG pics to. For the middle card, I cut a 4x6 Studio Calico card down to 4x4.

left side - design P, right side - design F

These pictures are all taken on my iphone and then printed at home. I then found a 12x12 sheet of neutral patterned paper (there is a slight hatching pattern), and cut it into 9 4x4 squares. I then typed up some journaling and adhered those to the middle photos on my grid. I love doing pages like this because it is easy and super fast. No thinking really. And I love the clean look.

All cards used here are 3x4 grid cards. Something else I am using a lot of lately...white space. I crave it  on my spreads now.

While I was snapping away at my layouts, I had a little helper by my side. I had to keep asked her to move her hands. She was excited to see her drawing in mommy's book.

I'm off to edit pictures of my new 2015 layouts. I hope to post those this weekend. We will see if that happens. Austin got in major trouble for hitting is sister and I took away his legos, ipad, and TV time for three days. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm shocked I was able to complete this post without someone screaming or bothering me. Hope you are having a peaceful day.

  1. Great pages. Love how you add the artwork right into the pockets.
